The purpose of the Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) shall be as follows:
1. To extend and enrich intercollegiate athletic competition for member colleges.
2. To provide a positive competitive atmosphere based on the principles of education, sportsmanship, and fair play.
3. To foster the physical, mental and social development of the individual student-athlete.
4. To foster excellence in performance.
5. To provide opportunities for the professional growth and development of the athletic administrative and coaching
staffs of member colleges.
6. To support league competition and sponsor seasonal tournaments in each sport.
7. To sponsor clinics for coaches and players.
