Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week

Michael Pena, Vaughn

Junior • Guard • Dumont, N.J.

Pena scored his 1000th career point in an emotional win over NAIA Division II foe Fisher. The junior poured in a game-high 35 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the field, draining seven three-pointers. Pena followed that up with a 25-point effort in the Warriors win over Albany Pharmacy moving the Warriors to a perfect 4-0 in league play.

Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week

Andrew Yaglenski, Pratt

Sophomore • Guard • Frederick, Md.

Yaglenski scored a career-high 35 points, including his 400th career point, in Pratt's come-from-behind, overtime victory over King's. The sophomore keyed an 8-0 run to begin overtime with a pair of layups. The effort was his 4th game of 30-or-more points this season. 

Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week

Bubby Vernon, Pratt

Freshman • Guard • Boulder, Colo.

Vernon compiled his first career triple-double in Pratt's come-from-behind, overtime victory over King's. The freshman recorded career highs of 20 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds and also added seven steals. Vernon sank four consecutive free throws in the final minute of overtime, sealing the victory for the Cannoneers.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week

Rochelle Whitton, Albany Pharmacy

Senior • Hermon, N.Y.

Whitton averaged 12.3 points on 46 percent shooting along with 4.7 assists per game over a three-game week for the Panthers leading them to a pair of wins. The senior highlighted her week with 18 points, six rebounds and six steals while playing all 40 minutes in a triumph over NHTI.

Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week

Amissa Epperson, Pratt

Freshman • Center • Jersey City, N.J.

Epperson controlled the paint for Pratt as the Cannoneers leveled their record with a 39-25 victory over King's. The freshman center registered a 13-point, 17-rebound double-double. Epperson swatted away six shots and swiped as many steals as the Pratt defense held King's to 18 percent shooting.

Honor Roll

Anna Eaves, King's • Women's Basketball

Eaves registered double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds in the Lions loss to Pratt.

Michal Tomasiewicz, King's • Men's Basketball

Tomasiewicz notched a 22-point, 14-rebound double-double in the Lions overtime loss to Pratt.

Tyler Kuhn, SUNY-ESF • Men's Basketball

Kuhn chipped in 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting off the bench also grabbing 12 rebounds in the Mighty Oaks loss to Albany Pharmacy.

Brandon Votra, Albany Pharmacy • Men's Basketball

Votra averaged 17.3 points and 12.7 rebounds over a three-game stretch, recording a pair of double-doubles vs. NHTI and SUNY-ESF.
