CIA DOWNS MOUNT SAINT VINCENT TO WIN SECOND STRAIGHT HVMAC CROWN
(Nov. 4) - The Culinary Institute of America defeated Mount Saint Vincent 3-0 today to capture its second straight Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) Tournament Championship at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Tournament MVP Austin Asadorian scored twice and earned Tournament MVP as the Steels overcame a 2-2 tie with MSV on Sept. 26, their only blemish during an undefeated 2007 season. CULINARY CLINCHES FIRST HVMAC SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP WITH WIN OVER WEBB
(Oct. 13) - Senior Vin Cioffi (Willington, CT/ED Smith HS) scored three goals and added three assists, and junior Russell Karath (Raleigh, NC/UMC) added three goals as the Culinary Institute of America Men's Soccer team clinched its first-ever Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) Soccer Championship with a 12-0 win over the Webb Institute on Saturday. A year after CIA won its first HVMAC Tournament crown, the Steens captured the regular season title after clinching the final tie-breaker with Mount Saint Vincent by scoring enough goals to beat MSV's goal differential. Culinary also clinched the #1 seed in the HVMAC Soccer Championship Tournament that begins on Oct. 28. More

(Oct. 9) - The Culinary Institute of America took a huge step towards their first-ever HVMAC Regular Season Soccer Championship after a 1-0 win over Cooper Union. As a result, the Steens are in a tie-breaker situation where the results of their game with Webb this coming weekend will determine the HVMAC crown. For their win, Culinary gets both Player and Rookie of the Week for Soccer as the Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) released its fall sports report today. More

(Oct. 2) - It was a good week to compete athletically for Mount Saint Vincent as the Dolphins earned Player of the Week honors for both HVMAC fall sports. Junior Michael Hernandez captured Player of the Week for Soccer after scoring seven goals in three games, including both MSV goals during a thrilling 2-2 tie with Culinary on Tuesday. Also, MSV's David Guerrero took home HVMAC Runner of the Week after an outstanding performance at the Lehman College Invitational. The HVMAC released its Fall Sport Reports today. More

(Sept. 27) - The Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference has a new home on the world wide web! Sports Information Director Michael Spinner launched HVMAC.net today with the hopes that it will take the marketing and promotion of the conference to a new level among Division III Athletics Conferences. For the last year, the HVMAC's official website was hosted by the College of Mount Saint Vincent. More

HVMAC UNVEILS NEW BRAND IDENTITY & LOGO

(Sept. 26) - Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) Sports Information Director Michael Spinner has announced the unveiling of the conference's new brand identity and logo to be used for all marketing and promotional purposes for the conference. The new design - created by Unlike Designs - features a radical change from the conference's previous design as not only has the font been updated to feature a more sleek design, but the mark also includes a unique brand, depicting the very valley the membership of the conference represents. (Sept. 23) - The Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) released it's Fall Sports Reports today, and it seems that in Soccer circles, the usual suspects are rising to the top. Both Mount Saint Vincent and the Culinary Institute of America saw their players take home the weekly awards as the teams prepare for their meeting this week that could very well determine the 2007 HVMAC Regular Season Champion. (Sept. 16) - The Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) released it's first Fall Sports Reports of the 2007-08 academic year today, and Cooper Union and Mount Saint Vincent emerged as the big winners as both programs scored their first wins of the 2007 season in Men's Soccer. The two-time defending HVMAC Regular Season Champion Dolphins scored a 3-0 win over Cooper Union to avenge last season's defeat, while CU rebounded from the loss to beat Webb in a non-conference match between the schools.
